Correcting Crossbite and Expanding the Jaw with Palatal Expanders and Clear Aligners

A 33-year-old patient came to us with a narrow upper jaw and both front and back crossbites. To correct this without removing any teeth, we began treatment by gently widening the upper arch using a palatal expander.

After expansion, the patient transitioned to clear aligners, combined with elastic bands, to align the teeth and improve the bite.

Over the course of 30 months, the patient achieved a well-aligned smile, improved bite, and balanced facial aesthetics—all without extractions.
